Event Info and FAQs

Information about Handmade Arcade Virtual Marketplace:

All applicants will receive access to Handmade Arcade's Maker Curriculum, which includes educational models created to assist makers in developing and robust and sustainable online presence.

Each vendor participating in the virtual marketplace will be responsible for maintaining its own e-commerce site. HA is not responsible for individual sales, shipping of items, taxes, etc.

Virtual Marketplace Functionality:
  • Each accepted maker will be responsible for populating their own page in the marketplace via a password protected admin page.
  • Each maker page is designed to showcase
    • Up to 10 images of products which will link DIRECTLY to the maker's e-commerce page
    • Up to 6 slide images of process, studio, and/or booth displays
    • Brief video of maker(s)
    • Ability to tag and describe images to bump up SEO results
    • Headshot of maker(s)
    • Business logo
    • Narrative information about business and/or maker
    • Interactive experiences (video and live streaming)
    • Links to e-commerce websites and social media accounts.
    • Online tutorials and virtual workshops:
      • Website user training
      • Preparing for a virtual marketplace
      • E-commerce and social media best practices
      • And more ...

Products Handmade Arcade accepts:
Handmade Arcade is a juried, curated marketplace. Each applicant’s products should be handmade, hand-crafted, or represent the artist’s personal creation. Mass-produced merchandise is prohibited at all Handmade Arcade events. Accepted vendors are NOT permitted to bring products from anyone not listed in their original application.

How the jury process works:
  • A jury carefully reviews ALL applications. 
  • Each part of your application is important.
  • The jury reviews your products and process description, images, merchandise price, social media pages, and websites.
  • IMAGES ARE IMPORTANT: Make sure that your images are of the highest quality. 
  • Please ensure that if you include a URL with your application, the site is active and currently offering a representative selection of your merchandise.
